Belzona was established in Elland, West Yorkshire England in 1952 by specializing in the flame spraying of steel with zinc to provide corrosion protection. Belzona has since become a leader in providing industrial protective coatings and repair composites.

 

As an exclusive authorized distributor of Belzona products and services, Colorado Belzona, services many industries including power, petrochemical, and facilities maintenance.

 

Loy Oakes, owner of Colorado Belzona grew up in Colorado and graduated from the University of Colorado with a BA and a commission in the Navy. He flew F4B phantoms off the USS Saratoga and then returned to Ft. Collins and was co-owner of a music store. He returned to flying with Continental Air lines and retired as an MD-80 captain in 1999 while being a stock broker for various firms. He is married and has a daughter and two grandaughters and his two sons, Eric and Ryan are partners in the business and they offer turnkey repairs and coatings with in house blasting and applications.
